The sun kept shining at Sund’s Lodge today and the boys from Chesapeake had another great day. Big fish of the day went to Craig Manaugh who joined the Sund’s Tyee Club with a dandy 32 lbr taken with Captain Spenser. Afternoon winds persisted but nothing could dampen the spirits of the Oklahoma boys who had another great day at Sund’s Lodge!
The weather was great, and we had another fantastic day of fishing! Chinook Salmon, coho, halibut and even a 16 pound octopus.
The Big Kahuna says that this season’s chinook salmon fishery is the best he’s seen in 15 years!

The boys of Chesapeake arrived at Sund’s Lodge this blustery afternoon. It was lumpy enough out on the water that the “Big Kahuna” almost called off the afternoon fish, but Mr. Dixon and the boys insisted that they could tough it out – they just had to get out there. And a good thing they did – it was a great afternoon of fishing at Sund’s Lodge!

The boys on Captain Spencer's boat kicked butt and successfully landed two coho and a nice chinook salmon in a triple header - Wahoooo!
Man alive! Between the great weather and the awesome catching, it feels like we must be dreaming – but we’re not! The coho and pink salmon are starting to roll in, and the chinook salmon fishery remains strong! We even caught our first hatchery coho of the 2010 season today. Another beautiful day on the water, a feast on the beach, and a ton of fish hitting the dock – good times were had by all!

Almost all of our guests limited out on chinook salmon - Even our old friend Joe , who arrived by sea plane today and didn’t hit the fishing grounds until the early afternoon. What a great day! In the words of Captain “Big Jim”, “holy crap!”

Off to an early start this morning – everyone jumped out of bed at the crack of dawn and hurried out to the fishing grounds. A hot lunch and a sunny afternoon were welcomed treats after a misty morning on the water.
This week has seen the first trip of ladies to plan a trip to Sund’s lodge together! These wild women from Wyoming are leaving quite the impression on their guides! Today they showed Captain Jim “the warden” Duddridge a thing or two, catching their limit of halibut and nearly their limit of chinook.
Good times were had by all.
