Group 12 – Mixed Friends – July 22 to 25

It was a small group at the lodge this week – but a very fun one! Unfortunately though, for the first couple of days the fishing really slowed down. So much that we began asking ‘what happened to the Chinooks?’

A recent article that was written it was mentioned that BC should be called the Pink capitol of the world because there are so many more Pinks out there than both Sockeye and Chinook. And maybe this is the case!

Captain Jim and his crew were excited with their catches. Although there were no Chinook, Nate brought in the biggest fish on this boat - a whopping 12lb Coho!

The fishing remained very slow for this group until the last morning when we got in to the Chinooks once again! The Bernsen group only fished for a couple of hours their last morning but were able to slay a Chinook each with Keith’s almost reaching the mark of a Tyee! This was a great way to end a trip and we are sure this means that this is going to be the start of another fantastic week here at Sund’s Lodge!

The Bernsen's leave the lodge very happy Fishermen! This group each had luck bringing in a Chinook on their last morning with Keith's 27lber the biggest of the day.
