Group 8 – Mixed Friends – July 7 to 11

Our second five-day trip of the season ended today – and it’s going to go down as a memorable one!

Monday, the first afternoon was off to an average start with all 5 boats bringing in at least one Chinook and several Coho. The largest fish of the day today came in on Captain Jacob’s boat with Ed – a dandy 17lber which put him in the Big Fish Chair!

Tuesday, the dam broke and each of our guests were rewarded with an exceptional day on the water. All boats limited out on Chinook, Coho and Pinks, and we even caught our first Chum of the season – 21lber which is the largest Chum ever for this early in the year.

After the beautiful day on Tuesday, Wednesday, unfortunately, was a different story. A storm came in which graced the lodge with winds of 45mph. Needless to say, we were unable to have our Beach Bistro today so everyone stayed on these rough seas for as long as was safe before returning to the lodge for an on shore lunch at 1. Still, this group was rewarded for their brave efforts and perserverence with 14 Chinooks and 16 Coho.
