Mixed Family and Friends Join Us For An Awesome 4 Days!

Millar here reporting another fabulous weekend here at the Lodge. Lots of fish, outstanding weather, and wildlife galore treated our guests to a memorable trip this time around! Most people were repeat offenders at the lodge, but a couple of new folks joined in for the fun.

The fishing has been pretty good this weekend, with some nice chinook ranging from small to 20lbs more common. A few bigger fish were swimming around on the North Shore of Malcolm Island, like Beth McDaniel’s 31lb slab. Some nice pink and hatchery coho have hit the dock, too. Many wild coho are out there, and though they are catch and release in most areas, they are a hoot to catch, and make for some fast paced action at times. Halibut has been slow to medium this trip, but there were a few really nice fish brought in this weekend, up to the 33lber caught by Jim Haberman.

What a great time it has been with all of the families here this time. You guys have been great!
